Abandoned Animals at Savannah Fire Station

Recently, there has been an increase in reports from Brazoria County Emergency Services District No. 3 of pets being abandoned at the Savannah Fire Station, located in the District off County Road 58.

The MUD 22 Board would like to remind all residents that it is a crime in Texas to abandon an animal, punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a fine of up to $4,000 for the first offense.

Please report any abandoned animals to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office Aimal Welfare Services Department, at (979) 864-2365, or bcsoaco@gmail.com.  If you need to rehome a pet, please contact the SPCA of Brazoria County, at (979) 285-2340, or a local pet rescue group.
